Advice Hub

The Advice Hub brings together information, reflections and resources related to neurodiversity, mental health and useful signposting.

It’s designed to be something you can dip into — not a course, a checklist, or a set of instructions.

You don’t need to read everything, follow a particular order, or take anything away with you. It’s okay to explore, pause, or leave at any point.

Reassurance
This content is intended to provide comfort and validation. While we hope it helps, your feelings are valid regardless of what you read here.

You don’t need to have a clear goal here
Many people arrive feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or just curious. It’s okay not to know what you’re looking for yet.

What you’ll find here

The Advice Hub includes content that may help you:

  • make sense of emotional distress, burnout or overwhelm
  • understand how neurodivergence can affect mental health
  • recognise patterns in your experiences
  • think about when additional support might be helpful
  • feel less alone in what you’re going through

Some content is practical, some reflective, and some simply explanatory.

None of it is a diagnosis or a substitute for professional care.

How to use the Advice Hub

There’s no “right” way to use this space.

Some people read one article and leave.

Some come back over time.

Some skim headings or only read highlighted sections.

You can take what’s useful, leave what isn’t, and return later if you want to.

Information
This information is provided to help you understand a topic or concept. It's intended to be educational and may not apply to your specific situation.

Take this at your own pace
This isn’t a programme you need to complete or a pathway you need to follow. Support doesn’t have to be linear.

How information is shared

You’ll notice different kinds of highlighted boxes throughout the Advice Hub.

These are used intentionally, to help you understand what kind of information you’re reading — for example, whether something is explanatory, reassuring, or about safety and boundaries.

If you’d like to know more about how and why we present information this way, you can read more below.

Evidence, experience and care

Content in the Advice Hub is informed by a combination of:

  • clinical guidance
  • academic research
  • professional practice
  • lived experience of neurodivergent people

We aim to balance clarity, accuracy and accessibility. Where sources are helpful, we link to them — without assuming everyone wants or needs to read them.

The Advice Hub is part of neurobetter’s preventative approach to mental health support.

It is not a crisis service, and it isn’t designed for urgent situations.

A final note

It’s okay if reading doesn’t feel like enough, or if you’re unsure what kind of support would help next.

Finding information about mental health can sometimes feel heavy.

If you need to take a break, that’s okay. The Advice Hub will still be here if and when you want to return.
