Our People

At neurobetter, our Board of Trustees is dedicated to enhancing mental health support for neurodivergent individuals. Comprising members with diverse backgrounds – including charity leadership, mental health advocacy, technology, medical, legal and driven by lived experience – they provide strategic guidance and ensure our resources are utilized effectively and ethically. Their commitment to our mission drives us to continually improve and expand our services as we grow. We are grateful to all our Trustees for volunteering their time and expertise.

Lucy Owen

Lucy Owen   (she/her)

Interim Chair of Trustees BA (Hons)

Lucy Owen is Education Programme Manager at the International Society for Respiratory Viruses, where she supports the development and delivery of international education programmes and learning initiatives. She previously served as CEO of the Dyspraxia Foundation and led the UK and Ireland delivery of FIRST LEGO League at the Institution of Engineering and Technology, developing programmes designed to engage children and young people in science, technology, and innovation. Lucy has extensive experience in education programmes, organisational leadership, and creating accessible content for diverse audiences. She also brings lived experience of mental health and neurodivergence and is passionate about improving understanding and support for neurodivergent people.

Mark Ainsworth

Mark Ainsworth   (he/him)

Trustee MA, MSc

Mark's 25-year career is defined by helping people make better decisions through the intersection of technology, algorithms, and human psychology. Currently, he serves as Chief Data Officer at ProblemShared, an autism + ADHD assessment and mind health provider, where he applies analytical rigour to improve the lives of neurodivergent individuals. His career has applied data science to business challenges in all sorts of industries, including Race Strategy at the McLaren F1 team, Head of Data Insights at Schroders, geospatial optimisation at Tesco, and psychometrics at Talent Innovations. As a leader who has neurodivergent traits and neurodiverse friends and family, Mark combines this personal perspective with his career, started by his degrees in Psychology and Decision Maths. He is dedicated to building a neuro-inclusive world by creating a shared understanding of how cognitive diversity can be a catalyst for individuals to thrive in high-performing, inclusive organisations.

Jess Avery

Jess Avery   (she/her)

Trustee MCIPD, ACC, PGCert

Jess is an autistic professional dedicated to reshaping how we think about work and neurodivergence. Combining her strategic background in public sector HR, with her work as an independent Autistic Career Coach through Intentional Ltd, she brings a dual perspective to the neurobetter team. Jess is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and an Associate of the International Coaching Federation.

Nathalie Dullage

Nathalie Dullage   (she/her)

Trustee BA, MSc, PGCert, PGCE

Nathalie is a Lecturer in Children's Psychological Trainings at Northumbria University, where she trains Mental Health Practitioners across NHS England-funded programmes. She is Programme Co-Lead (Clinical) on the co-produced Parent Carer Peer Support Programme and serves as the Workforce Development Lead on the Feeding Forward Project, supporting Children's Mental Health Services to recruit and retain a workforce that is reflective of the children and families that they support. Nathalie holds degrees in psychology and mental health and neuroscience and brings a background spanning both education and mental health. She is a current PhD candidate, with doctoral research examining a Whole School Approach to mental health and wellbeing — a focus that reflects both her professional expertise and her lived experience as a parent. An intersection of academic knowledge, clinical training and personal understanding underpins Nathalie's involvement with neurobetter. She is committed to ensuring that neurodivergent young people and the families that support them, have access to informed, accessible, and affirming resources.

Dr Jasmin Farah

Dr Jasmin Farah   (she/her)

Trustee MBBS

Dr. Jasmin Farah is a medical doctor with clinical experience in general medicine, adult psychiatry, and old age psychiatry. She has worked across inpatient and outpatient hospital settings, gaining insight into the barriers people face when accessing appropriate mental health support particularly during periods of crisis or in later life. Outside of medicine, she has supported digital inclusion for neurodivergent communities for a neurodivergent-led art collective, and contributed to grant writing for local grassroots charities focused on mental health and sport. At neurobetter, she brings a clinical and strategic lens to the board, with a focus on inclusive service design, safeguarding, and mapping alternative crisis support pathways.

Clair Grayston

Clair Grayston   (she/her)

Trustee and Treasurer

Clair is a Risk and COO professional with over 25 years experience working in Technology and Financial Services. She has spent 20 years working at leading global banking institution in both London and New York in roles which have covered many different aspects of financial and risk management, organisational design and leadership and people strategy. Throughout the Covid pandemic Clair was COO for a large organisation across EMEA and led the approach to support wellbeing and mental health for employees. With lived experience of mental health challenges she continues to drive action to support positive mental health in the workplace and is a qualified Mental Health First Aider. She is passionate about ensuring people have access to resources when needed and is focused on better understanding the specific challenges of people who are neurodivergent.

James Inman

James Inman   (he/him)

Trustee & Founder LLB (Hons), MSc, MRSPH, MBCS

James founded neurobetter after years of seeing neurodivergent people fall through the gaps between mental health services that weren't designed for them. He built and continues to lead the charity's technology platform, drawing on two decades of experience as a software developer and entrepreneur – including building applications used in over 90% of UK schools, focused on child protection, safeguarding, and assessing students with SEND. James holds a degree in Law and an MSc in Psychology, and is studying an MA in Couple and Individual Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at Tavistock Relationships. He is autistic, dyspraxic, and also lives with ADHD, cPTSD and Functional Neurological Disorder. To neurobetter, he brings a pathway shaped by his own lived experience of mental health and neurodivergence, and a conviction that neurodivergent people deserve better mental health support than what's currently available.

Steve Kuncewicz

Steve Kuncewicz   (he/him)

Trustee

Steve is a Partner and Head of Creative, Digital and Marketing at Glaisyers ETL. His specialism is Intellectual Property, Media, Social Media, Marketing and Privacy Law, and he is regularly listed as a 'Recommended Lawyer' in the Legal 500. He has been a Council Member of the Law Society since 2013, is an Honorary Solicitor and Board Member of the Manchester Publicity Association, and is a Non-Executive Director and Company Secretary of Rochdale Development Agency. Steve is a regular commentator (including on BBC Radio and in print) on social media, online publishing and related current affairs.

Carine Lewis

Carine Lewis   (she/her)

Trustee

Carine brings over 20 years of experience, including ten years in the healthcare sector, having held a range of senior roles across the public sector. She currently works as a consultant with healthcare organisations to support the delivery of digital transformation programmes. Carine is committed to driving impactful change, enabling collaboration, and building inclusive working environments. As a parent of two autistic sons, she brings lived experience of neurodiversity and is deeply committed to ensuring individuals can access the support they need.

Nicole Mason-Clemenz

Nicole Mason-Clemenz   (she/her)

Trustee BA (Hons), LLM

Nicole has worked in the public sector for the last 10 years, as a Parliamentary official, and then as a civil servant. As a public servant, she has worked in a number of strategy, governance and advisory roles. She has really enjoyed the elements of her work that have involved managing or providing training or support to diverse groups of people, and has undertaken work to progress Diversity and Inclusion within Parliament and in the Civil Service. She has always felt strongly about the importance of mental health support, and is currently studying towards a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. Nicole has lived experience of neurodiversity, having been diagnosed with dyspraxia and ADHD at an early age. She is passionate about supporting neurodivergent people to achieve fulfilling careers and better mental health outcomes.

Will Page

Will Page   (he/him)

Trustee BSc, MSc

Will currently works in local government as a Climate Change and Sustainability Manager, focusing on reducing carbon emissions through behaviour change, sustainable procurement, and the installation of energy‑saving technologies such as solar panels, while also supporting SMEs and other local businesses to minimise their environmental impact. Alongside his professional work, he has spent the past 10 years volunteering with mental health charities, including ChildLine and Shout!, and is currently volunteering with MindOut, where he provides mental health support to the LGBTQIA+ community.
